Josephine County Food Bank’s hunger relief efforts are available to aid and support all of our community members facing food insecurity and struggling with limited resources. We partner with a network of food pantries and meal sites across the county to accomplish this goal. Please see below for our directory.

FAQ

Am I eligible to visit a pantry?
You are eligible for free food if you meet the USDA’s 2023 Income Eligibility Guidelines (English, Español) or if you are currently participating in the Food Stamp Program (SNAP), Free & Reduced School Lunch, TANF, SSI, WIC, and/or LIHEAP.

Some of our pantries have service area boundaries and may require that you live within a specific zip code, town, or area. Please check with your desired pantry, as each of our agencies has different service requirements. Please note: if you are without a permanent residence, you can still get food.

What should I bring to a food pantry?
You do not need to bring anything other than yourself. You do not have to provide: ID, proof of income, proof of address, or proof of citizenship to receive food.

What information does a pantry collect from me?
You will need to provide your name, address, and number of people in your household. Some of our pantries may request other information, but this information is not required to receive food.

How often can I get food?
The Josephine County Food Bank does not limit the number of times a person can visit a pantry or meal site. However, some of our partner agencies do request that you limit your visits to once per month. Please check with your pantry, as each is different.

What will I get in a food box?
You will typically receive a variety of fresh produce, protein, dairy, and shelf-stable products. Each box will typically have enough food for a three to five-day supply. Please note that our food items vary each month, and we cannot guarantee that any specific item will always be available.

Can someone else pick up food for me?
Yes, if you are home-bound or otherwise unable to pick up food for yourself, please fill out the Authorized Representative Form (English, Español) and send it with the person picking up food for you.
