Executive Director
Josephine has been with the Josephine County Food Bank since June 2020. Originally from Asheville, NC, she’s embraced Southern Oregon as her home for the past eight years. Josephine holds a Bachelor’s in Sustainable Development from Appalachian State University and firmly believes that access to food and the act of sharing a meal are fundamental human rights.
Outside of work, you’ll find her exploring the PNW with her pup by hiking, kayaking, camping, and gardening.

Operations Director
Chris brings 12 years of experience working in food banking and a deep-rooted passion for the work. Over the years, he’s built meaningful friendships with colleagues across Oregon and values being part of a statewide community united by one shared mission: supporting neighbors facing food insecurity.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys life with his family and takes great pride in being the best husband and stepfather he can be. Having graduated from the University of Oregon, he is an avid Ducks fan—cheering just as loudly for green and yellow as he does for his community.

Programs Director
In 2017, Kristin Smith joined the Josephine County Food Bank as the Farm Manager for Raptor Creek Farm. She graduated from Rogue Farm Corps, an agriculture internship program, in 2015.
She draws on both her social work experience and agriculture background to develop Raptor Creek Farm’s programs.
When she isn’t farming, she is backpacking with her two black labs and 6 goats.
